Holly Shaw is a San Francisco Bay Area based dancer and a choreographer who weaves together movement from flamenco, contemporary modern, Balinese, Middle-Eastern, capoeria, and Romani dance styles to create unique and contemporary dance. She is also the producer of Eve’s Elixir, a project providing a platform to aspiring choreographers of contemporary world dance: challenging them to take risks with tradition, bring new ideas to established forms, and raise the question of what constitutes "authentic" world dance.
